Meet the Doctor
John C. Hoppin, D.D.S., P.C.
Dr. Hoppin is a board eligible Periodontist. He has been practicing periodontics for 33 years. He earned his B.S. from the "University of Wisconsin at Madison". He graduated from Washington University Dental School "Cum Laude". After dental school Dr. Hoppin completed a general dental residency at the U.S. Army Hospital in Fort Jackson, S.C., He was a Captain in the U.S. Army (Commanding Dental Officer) at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Periodontal residency was completed at the Veterans Administration Center at Wood, Wisconsin. He was a part-time clinic instructor at Marquette University (School of Dentistry-Periodontics) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1975-1976. He was on the West Allis Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital staff in Milwaukee from 1976-1981. Dr Hoppin established his private practice in St Louis/ St Charles, Missouri in 1980.

Periodontology and IV Sedation.
Dr. Hoppin is one of very few periodontist in the area with a license to administer IV sedation. He has been administering IV sedation’s since 1971.

Dr. Hoppin currently resides in St. Louis county with his wife, Tennie. They have raised 4 children and currently have six grandchildren. He enjoys snow skiing, swimming, hunting and golfing in his spare time.
